A protein is a biomolecule that is composed of chains of amino acids called polypeptides. They serve various function in our body, playing a major role in many biological processes including signaling, immune response, and gene expression. Protein is found in diet as well as made in the body and there are around 100,000 types located in the human body, making it a very important component of life.
